Winter Challenge Ride

Date: Saturday 5th February 2011

Challenge: To complete a Bronze Challenge Ride between sunrise and sunset. For most rides this involves visiting five of the ride landmarks. For the English and Scottish Counties rides a different number of landmarks are needed (see individual ride details). N.B. It is not possible to include the Welsh Counties on this ride. Contact me if you would like a map of all the different landmarks for all the rides (please identify format required eg Autoroute, Mapsource or TomTom Navigator etc)

Start and finish: Anywhere in Britain that you can obtain a receipt from to mark the beginning and the end of your ride.

Evidence needed: Photographs of your bike and placard in front of each of the landmarks on your selected ride, and photographs of your GPS unit with a numbered sticker attached. Number to be written on your sticker will be sent to you the day before the ride (see Challenge Ride page for further details of this) by email or by text if you have advised me of your number.

Timetable: Contact me at grim@thegrimrider.com to register your interest. Send me ride payment of £5 before the start of the ride. Select and plan your ride. The day before the ride you will receive (by email or text) a ride number which you need to write on a label stuck on your GPS unit. On the day - complete you ride and then email me copies of your photographs including photos of your receipts.

Recognition: A special Winter Challenge certificate will be sent to all successful entrants.
