Battlefields Ride 2010

23/01/10 - First rides completed with Mike Strong visiting Naseby and Bosworth battlefields today.
26/01/10 - Mike, still going strong (see what I did there?), has also visited Solway Moss, and come across the first cockup of the year - the Lat/Long coordinates are a few miles out and should read N54 59.576 W2 58.158. All forms changed and everyone else informed. Mike also says that the commemmorative plaque has been vandalised but is still there.
6/2/10 - Phil Weston became the first person to achieve a Bronze award, visiting five of the Battlefields during the Winter Challenge. Phil will of course not be stopping there but aims to get to them all this year.
26/2/10 - Mike Strong visited Maldon and reported that access to the battlefield, whcih lies on National Trust land, is only by permission of the warden - who can reached by phone on 01621 853142 - more details can be found here.
25/3/10 - Soji Ojelade becomes the first person to have visited 10 Battlefields and achieved a Silver Award this year.
15/4/10 - I visited Maldon today - note here on the Scatter Rallies forum about access to it.
17/4/10 - Baz Manning sent in photographs for visits to Culloden and Glen Shiel along with ten other battlefields he has visited this month - all the battlefields have now been visited at least once and photographs of them all appear below.
8/5/10 - Dave Badcock became the first person to have visited all 15 battlefields in Britain and gain a Gold Award. He says he also plans to visit the optional 16th battlefield of Boyne in Ireland this year. Congratulations Dave!
23/5/10 - Correction to previous post - had forgotten about the Batlle of the Boyne battlefield in Ireland - this has now been visited by John and Bob Hancock - perhaps they will be the first to gain a Platinum Award!
1/6/10 - Bev Muizelaar became the second person to achieve a Gold Touring Award - two actually as he has also completed the Mountain Passes Ride as well.
3/6/10 - The third person to complete a Gold Award is Barry Manning, well done Bazzer!
20/6/10 - Three riders all completed all 16 battlefields this weekend, with Dave Badcock visiting the Battle of the Boyne site in Ireland, and John and Bob Hancock visiting all the Scottish battlefields to complete their list. Congratulations to you all! Special Gold Awards now created!
16/7/10 - Soji Ojelade became the fourth person to visit all 16 of the battlefields, congratulations!
