Grim Riders Rides

As well as the annual charity ride we have an increasing number of other rides which members are welcome to take part in by visiting the landmarks from the rides. There is a ridebook for each ride which lists the landmarks (usually fifteen, except for the Counties Rides) which form the ride. Rides can be completed in one of two ways - as a Challenge Ride, when you visit a number of landamrks in one ride; or as a Touring Ride, when you visit landmarks on as many visits as you like, over as long a period of time as you like. Once you have visited five landmarks you can claim a Bronze Award; ten landmarks for a Silver Award; and all fifteen for a Gold Award. You can complete as many or as few awards as you like - for each one you need to send in your photographic evidence (using your Charity Ride placard for that year) and payment of £10 (by paypal) to grim@thegrimrider.com.

Visit fifteen sites of some of the most important battles to take place n British soil over the last 1000 years.

Visit fifteen motorcycle racing circuits in Britain (plus the option of also visiting Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man).

Visit specific important buildimgs in the county towns of all forty historic English Counties.

Visit fifteen Lettterboxes which demonstrate the different post boxes used in Britain over the past 100 years.

Visit fifteen of the RNLI Lifeboat Stations around the coast of Britain (money for this ride goes to the RNLI).

Visit fifteen different sites in England and Wales which were erected to commemorate the Millennium in 2000.

Ride some of the very best roads in Britain while visiting these fifteen Mountain Passes.

Visit all fifteen of the National Parks in England, Scotland and Wales - the original charity ride in 2009.

Visit fifteen public houses across England and Wales, each with a unique name (you don't have to drink in every one!).

Visit important historic buildings in the county towns of all the Scottish Counties.

Visit fifteen ancient sites of enormous archaeological importance across Britain (including Orkney and Lewis!)

Visit important historic buildings in the county towns of all the Welsh Counties.

Visit fifteen locations in England and Wales connected to Giants, as used on the Wolfcub Rally 2011

Visit fifteen of the best windmills which grace the English and Welsh countryside.

Visit fifteen impressive pieces of public art around Britain (this was the Charity Ride for 2012)

Visit fifteen of the historic castles of Britain (this was the Charity Ride for 2011)
